BANGKOK – 3 people died in an elevator mishap on March 1, 2012 at The SAWASDEE condominium, Ratchada-Huaykwang, police and fire officials said.
The accident happened at around 5 p.m. in an 11-story of The SAWASDEE condominium,
The Major’s reporter identified the victims are a female baby name’s Somjai, a boy name’s Matoom, and a woman name’s Somsri, they all were the residents in The SAWASDEE condominium.
Witness, Mrs. Meesook said others and I normally were going to each own floor room by taking the lift, around 11 to 12 floor, Lift stuck and everything was switched off. We tried to use our electronic tools and cell phone to connect any people outside, but it did work at all, Mrs. Meesook said.
Mr. Somruk, witness said I tried to open the lift door but it was so heavy, while the baby and boy were starting to cry.
The Woman, she stood close to me loose consciousness, she had a lot of sweat, and I gave her an inhalant, said witness, Mr.Dang.
Others witness said, after 45 minute left, there were nothing happened but the baby stop crying, and the boy looked like sleeping.
Officials, policemans, and firemans were there and tried to help them, after 20 minute left the lift could open and the residents or victims could out of the lift, said The SAWASDEE owner.
Tree people who had a sickness on the elevator were taken to a hospital to be evaluated, Fire Department officials said.
It was too late to help them because they all lack of the Oxygen to the brain, I was so sorry, I try my best, said The Doctor.
We would take responsibilities to all family who were the victims, said the owner of the SAWASDEE condominium.
The owner said to the reporter “This accident was effected the safety and confidence of the condominium, and the damage was over 10,000,000 Bath (Thai).”
